Flex Super Wide Duct Tape is also removable, repositionable, and can be torn by hand vertically and horizontally to any size.
Read on to learn how to use Flex Super Wide Duct Tape, along with tips and tricks to help make your experience successful.
How To Use Flex Super Wide Duct Tape
1. Clean the Surface: Before using Flex Duct Tape, the application surface must be clean, dry, and free of any grease, oil, dirt, or debris.
2. Unroll the Tape: Start at one corner of the roll and lift the edge of the tape up, then continue to pull until you get the desired length. With our 7.5” wide tape, you may want to use both hands to unroll. Try not to let the tape fold in on itself as you unroll the amount you need.
3. Tear It: Make sure your hands are dry and firmly grab the area to be torn. With both hands close together, quickly pull the tape apart, making sure the tape doesn’t fold in on itself. When applying Super Wide Duct Tape to a surface, tear a piece larger than the area you’re applying it to.
4. Apply It: Apply firm pressure and use your fingers, squeegee, or roller, to remove any creases or wrinkles. Firm pressure and surface time will increase bonding strength. Once applied, Flex Super Wide Duct Tape will resist accidental tearing.
Flexpert Tip: Flex Super Wide Duct Tape can be torn by hand horizontally and vertically, so there’s no wasted material.

Best Practices
- While Flex Super Wide Duct Tape is moisture and water-resistant, it should not be applied to wet surfaces or submerged underwater for extended periods.
- Always apply firm pressure to eliminate folds or creases. A squeegee or even a credit card can help.
- For maximum hold, allow the tape to remain on the surface for an extended period — bonding strength increases with time.
Flexpert Tip: Flex Super Wide Duct Tape is strong enough to stay put, but it can still be removed or repositioned when needed. Repeated repositioning, however, may weaken the adhesive over time.
