Is Flex Caulk Removable?
Flex Caulk creates a strong, long-lasting seal, but it can be removed if necessary
How To Remove Flex Caulk:
-
Uncured Flex Caulk: Wipe away with a clean, dry cloth. Do not use water. Denatured alcohol or mineral spirits may help speed up removal.
-
Cured Flex Caulk: Use a caulk removal tool or straight edge to scrape beneath the bead. If needed, carefully cut along the edges with a utility knife.
Because Flex Caulk is built for long-term performance, removal may require more effort than temporary sealants. Stubborn sections may require additional scraping to fully clear the surface. A nylon brush can be used to help remove any residue.
Flexpert Tip: Before applying a new bead of Flex Caulk to the surface, ensure the area is clean, dry, and free of debris for the best adhesion.
Flex Caulk is removable when needed, while still delivering dependable, long-term performance. To learn more about Flex Caulk, download our free Product Reference Guide.
