Flood Protection Liquid should be primarily used as a final layer of protection to help seal any small pinholes or openings that may have been missed. Use Flood Protection Liquid in combination with our other Flood Protection products.
Our Flood Protection Liquid starts out as a liquid. It seeps into gaps, cracks and openings and dries to a strong, flexible, rubberized, watertight coating. It seals out water while remaining flexible.
Flood Liquid should be used primarily as a final layer of protection to help seal any small pinholes or openings that may have been missed. Brush a generous amount directly on top of our other Flood Protection products. When applying Flood Liquid, make sure each coat is wider and overlaps previous layers of our Flood Protection products.
Once flood-waters recede, our Flood Liquid can be easily removed. For complete instructions go to: flexseal.ca/flood.
DRY TIME
Depending on temperature, humidity and thickness of coating, Flood liquid will dry to the touch in approximately 3 to 6 hours, and fully cure in approximately 24-48 hours. Allow product to fully cure before floodwaters arrive. Flood Liquid begins to cure when exposed to the air. Always keep lid on tight during and after use. Remove any dried material and always use fresh liquid to seal an opening.
COVERAGE
The coverage for one coat of the 10oz Flood Liquid, when applied 2" wide, is approximately 20 linear feet.
IMPORTANT INFORMATION
Always follow local warnings regarding evacuations. Depending on the age and type of construction, there may be areas that cannot be seen or sealed. Unsealed porous surfaces, such as concrete, can seep water during extended underwater exposure. Our Flood Protection products are NOT intended for flash floods, extreme winds or water pressure, to protect against flying or floating debris, or if there is structural damage to the building.
